Wildergarten (ages 4-6)

 The Wildergarten program follows a “school” curriculum, but in a more natural and fun way. Our goals are to help foster a sense of community and belonging in nature, with emphasis put on personal responsibility, safety and experiential learning. Wildergartens follow 3 life rules, respect yourself, respect others, and respect your environment.

With repeated visits to the same natural and manmade environments, Wildergartens explore forests, count worms, paint, make mud sculptures, tell stories, hunt for gnomes, and whittle magic wands all while discovering their place in the world around them. Wildergarten children learn at their own pace and our instructor's daily plan is focused on the children’s emergent interests and learning through play. Monthly field trips are planned around the children's area of study/project at that given time and season.
